Unpleasant Experiences

October 13, 2008

When by happenstance you hear of; read about; or even witness first hand,

what is perceive by societal norms-as an unpleasant experiences;

The consciousness of the mind ushers in things that are considered unkind,

uncomfortable, and pershaps those thoughts that are somewhat cruel and in-humane.

If you take a casual glimpse at some of the Old Testament Bible stories,

there are many examples of incidents contained therein,

that can be characterized as unpleasant.

For example: Moses struggles and challenges faced-as he led the people out of bondage,

out of Egypt, Daniel’s ordeal in the lion’s den, Job’s test of patience- during his experience with the satanic forces, Solomon’s  reign as king-ending in ruins and corosions and falling on desolate times.

And finally Jesus-being persecuted and hanged on the cross.

However, the most significant ordeal about facing unpleasant things, is how you handled the opportunity handed to you-during those tumultous and perilous times.

How did you seize the opportunity? What did you discover-exactly inside of you,

that mustered enough courage to overcome the ordeal. That is the question-

which is the ultimate test of patient, confidence, and your faith in self, in others, and in God.

The Value of Drinking Water

September 22, 2007

Drinking water on an empty stomach has ridual benefits and values. This is a widely used approach in Japan.

-Very popular among the  Japanese culture

-Scientifically tested for it’s value-in Japan

-It helps and aids with old diseases and modern illinessess

-This water drinking treatment approach by the Japanese, has been verified by a Japanese medical study-as a good cure for the following:

>headaches, fast heart beats, bronchitis, astma, diarrhea, constipation

>eye diseases, menstral disorders, and eye, nose and throat diseases

STEPS:

1. Upon waking-up in the morning-before brushing teeth, drink 4 glasses of water.

2.After you brush your teeth-you may then eat and drink as normal

3.Wait 15 minutes of breakfast, lunch or dinner before you drink liquids or water

4.After then do not drink any liquids or water for 2 hours

5. After the two hours you may resume your normal water drinking process until you consume the usual 8 glasses per day

6.If you cannot drink 4 glasses of water upon waking up in the morning, gradual consume one glass-at-a-time, until you reach the 4 glasses.

NOTE: Do not drink cold water 15 minutes immediately following a meal

Reason:cold water solidify the oily things that you may consume-it slows the digestion process-which may turn into a “sludge”which cause an acid reaction-a process that breaks-down the absorbortion line in the intestine. Creating fat that eventual leads to cancer.

If you must drink-always drink hot tea, hot soup, or warm water 15 minutes after eating a meal.

This will help greatly with the cause and effect of creating any life threating diseases.

The water drinking process on an empty stomach will also help and aid in the treatment of the following abnormality:

a. high blood pressure

b. gastric conditions

c. diabetes

d. constipation & TB

The length of time for observing results are 30 to 60 to 180 days

depending on the metabolism, heredity, of family history, eating habits and daily exercise routines.

Neglected Children Infected-Only Pennies Needed to Save…

March 20, 2007

Yes, a penny campaign is launched to help children-because River parasites eat away at them, slowly infecting their organs, stunting their growth, and sometimes even causing them to die. On March 14, 2007, The Chicago Tribune staff reporter, Colleen Mastony wrote an article “River parasite eats at children” detailing the plight of children-who for the enjoyment of their favorite past time-run to the river and leap into the water, which is the center of their lives, but at the same time their very lives are experiencing life threathening danger. This is so; because the water hides a debililtating scourge called ‘schistosomiasis’-a disease that is spread by microscopic parasites that lives in the river, which burrows through their skin and slowly cause an infection. The solution, according to the experts, lies with just one dose a year of three pills called praziquantel. Studies shows that a single dose, which cost about twenty cent($.20)  can reverse up to 90.0% of the damaging health effects.

Therefore, a CAMPAIGN IS BEING LAUNCHED-A “PENNY CAMPAIGN”. Yes,,,! Pennies, they need only pennies to purchase the medicine for the children in Nasarawa, Nigeria to eradicate this deadly disease schistosomiasis.

All the pennies you may have lying around, on the floor, under the couch, on the couch, under the car seat, on your dresser, in a Jar at home or apt. While those pennies may mean little to you-they can go a long way toward helping to save A CHILD’S LIFE.

Won’t you consider helping. You noble efforts will certainly be appreciated

The idea for the “Penny Campaign” was conceived by Dianne Bradie-Gregoire-a social service executive. Dianne shared the idea with me-so that I could help bring marketing and public relations exposure to attract donations for the Pennies Campaign.

All pennies donations will be managed through the “Jimmy Carter Foundation”. Please leave a comment upon visiting with an email address for later contact through this site for detailed instructions for drop-off locations in the very near future. Thanks

Mentoring

January 26, 2007

The month of January 2007 is “National Mentoring Month” I implore you to reach out and touch a  youth and/or a  young adult in ways that will impact them positively. You can begin by consoling a contrite spirit, providing instrumental support, provide encouraging words, edifying to build self-esteem, lend a helping hand or just utter uplifting accolades to them. You might consider being a surrogate father, mother, or  a big brother, big sister to them. When you do you will quickly realize, that at the end of the day, big dividends is payable, enormous mutual benefits will be experinced-as it bring feelings of great “Joy” to both you and the person you’ve reached out to touch-to make a difference in their lives. Try it you may just like it. The keys to the success of it all-don’t stop at the end of National Mentoring Month-let it be continuous……

Thankgiving-being thankful and giving

November 24, 2006

The celebration of thankgiving is an age old tradition given to us by the early settlers in America. It is a time for families to get together for love, respect and to cherish one another and appreciate each member of the family. Special reverence should be given to the elderly or the matron of the family. Then there is the feast of the food, and of course, football. But it’s really more than that. As we are being thankful for self and family. We should think of others, be in a reflective and giving mood for those who may be less fortunate than us. I’d like to advocate the idea of spreading the word and the message of hope, inspiration, and edification-to encourage others. This message is central on the pages of the books: The Road That Is Difficult To Travel” and the companion book “Prayer For An Occasion” you can go the site: http://www.authorhouse.com
click bookstore-type in the author’s name: Steve Braxton and read the synposis of the books. A purchase will help the displaced families of Katrina.

Health & Spirituality-a given

November 11, 2006

The word “Terroir” means soil or region, when it is used by the French, they are usually referring to the land and the climate. But also to the impact of “man and machine” on the land. Terroir, determines the taste of food grown on a specific plot of land in a particular place or region in the hemisphere.

Coming from the spiritual element and a perspective of the inner being. One may consider terroir to be part of the soul of the land. More importantly the connection to humankind relationship with the soul environment, that is created by the powers of a higher source.

The French seems to have grasp the understanding for the elements of the totality for the concept of health and spirituality. Thereby, when we as humankind begin to discuss the habits, practices, and activities of good nutrients, and carrying on about health, wellness, spirituality, and the fruits of the land of a given “terroir” (soil, region, climate), there should be a hunger and thirst to eat of it, and drink of it, to sustain long-lasting healthiness for the totality of the body parts.

Politics-Mid-Term Election Casualities

November 10, 2006

The first two casualities of the Republican party-Secy Donald Rumsfelt and Ken Mehlman, an unfortunate ordeal which could have been avoided-if both men had been a bit more sensitive-and in touch with the pulse of the people and  to the plight for  the concerns impacting key  issues that most  people had on their minds, as it related to the ecomomy and the war in Iraq.

I have watched both of these gentlemen from afar for sometime now. An observation that  has become more intensed in the recent 12-24 months. On many occasions when the opportunity presented itself Donald Rumsfelt all but ignored the pressing issues and needs thereby, rendering himself ineffective-because of an enormity of missed opportunities. In the case of Ken Mehlman, everytime I heard him speak-his words seem to go against the grain of what was being played out in the trenches locally and on the world stage. The preception portrayed by him for the most part seemed to have been  over zealous-as it was tainted with semblance of arrogance.

The Harvard graduate that he is-lawyer that  he may be-given the opportunity to work with and rub elbows with the elite of the American public, even in the nation and the world. Which created the impetious for him to excell toward and achieve gteatness. But it seems to be all for naught. The opportunity for the whole ordeal has in a nut shell been totally missed…! Because  he simply did not walk the walk-as he was trying to talked the talk. The talk the people  heard did not translate to anything that they could connect to-or sink their teeth into; which in effect rendering his entire tenure as RNC Chair a “total dis-connection…!”

It seemed, from afar; he operated on loyalty and blind-faith to President Bush, the insider crony network, and the Republican agenda, with a blatant disregard for the needs of the  common folk-the voters.

The moral of this story-is that you reap exactly what you sow. And when the needs of the common folk are neglected surely,  there are consequenes. What we all must not forget-there is really power at the ballot box. Always exercise the right to vote-it speaks volumes-when that right,  is utilized in the fashion and the appropriate way.

Hello world!-The benefits of meditation

November 1, 2006

It will be wise to learn and know the gift of “forgiveness” for self and others.
It shall be a real blessing to experience the ‘joy of healing’ and to have the elements and in-sights to trust in the power of a higher authority, the ultimate knowledge and wisdom (UKW)
To be resolve to hold an appreciation for the development of tenacity, perservance, and faithfulness on the journey of life

And finally, to have some awareness of your potential, possibility and God Ordained purpose for your life in the earthly realm.
